Hi, I am Lewis LoRizzo the publisher of Complete Health Today, and like you have an interest in health. In fact a huge interest in health.
Although never in really poor health, I have always searched for ways to get to optimal health. You know where you see guys/gals playing sport for hours at a time with limitless energy and strength and then having plenty left over to breeze through a successful career as though it was the most natural and obvious thing in the world and that everybody should be doing this.
When you look around you see that maybe one person in a hundred has got that kind of health or lifestyle. I wanted to be that person.
You also notice that some of these super people got there on great genetics but didn’t have great diets or healthy attitudes eventually burned out and became mediocre or sub par because what they were doing was unsustainable. With nothing to fall back on they become just like a lot of people with low energy and chronic conditions which make life unnecessarily unproductive and unpleasant. I didn’t want to be that person.
You are never really sure where your search will lead you but I knew that the internet would help provide the answer – and it did. Although in middle age, I am healthier and have more energy than when I was a teenager. When I visited my anti-aging doctor for a checkup she was amazed that I was the same person that she last saw twelve months before. My readings like blood pressure and heart rate are better than average – they are in the optimal range for an adult of any age. At my low point a few years ago I could only walk for maybe forty five minutes before needing to stop and sometime needing to lie down for goodness sake.
These days I go surf board riding most days of the week for two hours per day as well as power walking with my dog Lisa for two hours everyday and a one hour weight training gym session on alternate days. Middle age has been the best time of my life and I reckon it will get better.
I do not say this to brag, but to say that it is possible for an average person to achieve optimal health by making simple tweaks to their diet and their lifestyle. Even without going the whole hog, making a few adjustments will make a noticeable improvement to how you feel.
It seems I have tried pretty much every vitamin, supplement, food and lifestyle tweak out there to see what works and what doesn’t. What works for you may not work for me because we are all different. With that in mind I hope to cover information on the whole gamut of what you can try.
